 On Saturday the 7^th July 2012,  CYWA Volunteer participated in an introductory course entitled, '" Introduction to Translation'". The course was conducted at SILAKA training facilities. This course was organized by SILAKA as part of a series of preparatory courses designed with the purpose of providing the tools for CYWA volunteers to effectively implement the SCWHR project activities.

Before this course started all CYWA members introduced themselves to each other to make all of us know each other clearly.  This course make us to understanding about translation and process of translation before we start translate and strategy of translation to be good translator.

This training course objective set out to introduce the:

•  Translation Process
•   The Benefit of Translation
•  Translation Practice

All the participant actively participated during the presentation and throughout the course paid attention and interest so much about this because it’s the most courses that difficult also wants to know it    too. As part of the training activities, we were asked to present our groups presentation on what we learned. 

In the afternoon, all trainer and Facilitator took photo together with pleasure, and then there’s an article for all of us work in group by translation in Khmer after study already.  After that we’re also present this article which we translated.

The summary, this course’s more important because we know what are translation, qualities, and benefit of it. There’re many steps before translation and good translate. So, as we learned, it’s gain more knowledge for being  translation.
